Photodermatology is a special branch of dermatology. Operational at this unit is a combined phototherapy device with UVB, UVA, and balneo-phototherapy functions. The latter combines the benefits of sunlight with the healing powers of Dead Sea salt. During a balneo-phototherapy session, bathing in 10% Dead Sea saline solution is followed by narrow wave UVB treatment, which is especially beneficial in symptomatic relief of psoriasis and eczema patients. Careful calculation algorithms ensure a therapeutic UV dose well below the threshold level for carcinogenic risk.
Pre-treatment assessment and screening for pathological photosensitivity is also available. In case you are referred by your specialist treating physician for phototherapy, please call the number above. If you have not yet been seen by a specialist, you can arrange for an assessment appointment by calling +36 20 586-7617.
